John R. Aarons was born in Melbourne, Australia and is a self-employed provider of engineering inspection and expediting services. He spent many years working in construction in Europe and the USA before settling back home in Australia. The years of travels around the world led him to start writing memoirs and fiction that draws upon his experiences in various countries. 

 

His first three novels, The Funicular, The Docklands Mystery and The Maltese Cross Mystery, revolve around crime in the art world and take the reader on an exciting journey across continents.

John lives with his wife in Melbourne and is a father of two daughters and grandfather of three boys.
